Hello,

is it possible to use Oxwall with suhosin, suApache and suPHP set to on?
I've seen that we need them set to off, but why?

Thanks in advance!

@Leo

In some cases depending from suApache/suPHP/suhosin settings, there are set incorrect permissions for folders created by script. That's why we suggest to disable these extensions.

Thanks :)

But if there are set incorrect permissions for folders created by script you can change them and all is fine, right?

So can I use Oxwall if suhosin, suApache and suPHP is activated (set to "on")?

Yes, you can. But if there will be any problems with script working in this case you will need to find out issue by your self in server settings :)

But is it a security problem if I use them set to on?

Thank you!

@Leo
It does not produce any security problem or anything. You need your file permissions set to the right value when you're using those set to on. If your files permissions are right it should work fine.

How do you disable these extensions on ubuntu?

Here is a log entry showing it is active:
Apache/2.2.22 (Ubuntu) PHP/5.3.10-1ubuntu3.4 with Suhosin-Patch configured -- resuming normal operations
