To get push notifications worked, we will have to modify the Oxwall core files to send message to devices once those users have notifications.
That's why we have not made a decision to add it into default iMod App version.
If you guys are interested in this modification (only experienced developers can modify the oxwall core), we will consider it as new request.

the app needs to read the db for messages and notification there marked as unseen so is not hard at all to pudh them to the app and on read them on app marks them as dread
I don't see how modding the Oxwall core files would help create that really..
