Existing Account - Twitter Connect | Forum

If you have an existing account on the site that this plugin is being used, you can still use the plugin to sign-in! The only thing is that you have to make sure of is that the email you used for the Twitter account is the same as the existing user account. It really works, there is just no sync account button! Try it!
