Is there a utility that cleans up database from old stuff? I mean old PMs, old newsfeed entries, stuff like that. Because with time the old junk will accumulate in the database, making it really huge.

I searched the store, but couldn't find anything, only a plugin that cleans old inactive users, but that's not what I mean. Is there such a utility?

Marisa, in our software there is no such kind of utility.
Nonetheless, for Newsfeed if there weren't any actions with entries for three month, it would be deleted from DB automatically, and it will be re-added if somebody comments on it or likes it again.

If you need the functionality of cleaning up DB it should be the custom code modification.
If you don't have programming skills you can find a third-party developer here: http://www.oxwall.org/market/specialists

How can a deleted newsfeed to be re-added?

Recovering?

It sounds impossible to handle all those recover request if you have a huge size of DB.

By the way, I didn't see the automatically delete working since I can still see the newsfeed posted last year. (Today is 5/31)
