You are using the video uploader plugin , thumbnail works only if "ffmpeg" is installed on your server (which will pull an image from the video)

Daniel, let me make it clear.
You use default video plugin and try to embed code. Embed code from where? Do you use embed code or you upload video via Video Uploader file? or you just insert video URL via SPvideo lite plugin and thumbnail does not show up.
What video service embed code do you use or URL? From where? Youtube? DailyMotion any other, please reply to these questions.
