For some reason the hint doesn't show up when hovering over some groups. There's no consistancy with which groups it does or doesn't show. Tried disabling and enabling all plug ins to see if they were the reason, nothing changed, uninstalled it and reinstalled it.

Hello,
Please provide more details by the issue. I can not help you without screenshots or error messages. At least provide exact steps how to get the bug.
May be problem with your Oxwall installation. Some plugins might prevent the hint from showing. Could you confirm that the issue appears on my demo site ( demo.oxpro.org ).

It seems, you are using a SEO plugin which changes the way of url generation.
For example:
This is a standard group url:
https://www.animebasket.com/groups/21
This is a modified group url:
https://www.animebasket.com/groups/aura-kingdom-aurakingdom-to-25
Hint plugin cannot detect group by modified url and do not show the hint.
Which SEO plugin do you use?
