Would love the ability to restrict groups, as well as have invites or requests to join... going to look into the code and see if that wouldn't be too hard to do..

would be good to have option to restrict groups or password protect or invite only :)

you should make it so people can add a category to the group like music movies people ect  so people can search the groups they want to be in

- groups by category, I guess
- If mobile stuff is coming to oxwall possibility to add fluid layout to groups widget. I'm using a modified Grunge theme and this looks ugly with groups displayed in one collumn and that large sidebar.

It would be nice to show the Titles in the Widget. I know you can mouse over the avatar but it would be good see see the titles without doing that...since for my site I have removed the avatar all together. Thanks

Yes please create events for groups!! A calendar function would be wonderful.

Would also really like to be able to appoint multiple group admins and for group admins to be able to boot people from the group.

I would like to be able to create sub-groups by countries for example...

Sweden > Stockholm > Group 34
Sweden > Malmo > Group 255
UK > London > Group 2356
UK > Glasgow > Group 5675678

etc...

Hi, I'm pitching a developer to quote me for the following!

Basically all I want is a Group within a group for individuality projects! It will need own file upload. Actually The current Group Plugin with Files for Groups is perfect!

It just has to be nested, Work flow is like.....

A Group Called "Mygroup" Already exists for Peter, Paul and Myself.

Peter want to create a project within the group (All the functions of the "groups plugin" but obviously Peter, Paul and Myself need no invite so no need for Join Leave invite functions).

Peter, Paul and Myself want to upload files to the project! (So exactly the same file for groups module can be employed!

================================================

Easy!

Very important feature for a group owner to be able to ban a user and not simply delete them.  This could be very important for a site to be able to grow beyond one narrow interest group.

The larger the membership the more likely that there would be members compatible with the site that are incompatible with one another.
