I am looking for a developer to develop an enhancement that will make all news feeds on the site update in real time so refreshing of the page is not necessary.
Thanks for trying. I will look further into this by tommorow. I have never said that it is actual working, I just did everything they said on the page in the first post to make the auto refressing work...
The error tels me that there is a missing ")", but afaik, there should be no ")" added. I have just done what they have told me in the first post link.
Okay, I have updated the php file with the expected ")". Please try again. The previous link links to the update file.
Hi again. There is something that I probably have missed somewhere. I only don't know what. I have set up my own test thing and tested several codes. The latest one, does refresh it, only it makes it disappear (could be looking good :P, but that is ofcourse not the point).
I don't know where the problem is, I hope some others can have a look at it for you.
Yup, that is the problem. Basicly it does the half part of the refreshing.
Refreshing means -> disappear and appear (updated)
I know that the hack does the updating and disappearing, he only doesn't want to appear. I don't know why, the code looks fine.
Maybe you should post a thread in the "oxwall store" section, with the files that I have created. I am sure that someone knows the last little piece of code that I am missing...
Remember that I am not really a developer, I am more of the theming...
Yes, I meant the section, Oxwall Store, in the forum.
I did not meant that I updated the files, I tried to say, that I know that it updates the (data in the) newsfeed once you put the modified files on your server, once it goes away. I only don't know why it doesn't appear again. It hard to explain, but otherwise said; the only problem is that it doesn't appear, the rest is working.
The Wall
It easy to use and should do the job for you.
John
That is the modified index.php file. I haven't tried it...
http://db.tt/LPnznxSg
I have modified it again, please try.
Many thanks. Does this index.php file to go the root directory?
www.yoursite.com/index.php?
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION, expecting ')' in /home/freeteen/public_html/www.teenage-chat.com/index.php on line 82

Here are the files that I modded:
http://db.tt/LPnznxSg index.php
http://db.tt/oy5YUlx7 reload.php
Both should be on root.
But just like I said, they are not really working..
I am sorry that I couldn't help you further.

Thanks again :)

I can put it on the forum, if that's is what you mean.
You said you updated it again (I think)
disappear and appear (updated)
I still see the newsfeed disappearing and not reappearing.
Thanks for your help, I'll post it on the forum =)

I've submitted it on the forum and no one could help me.
If I submit it on the store, the mod must be complete. That area isn't for unfinished modifications. =)
